Get to know us
Welcome to Barely Competent Roll-Players – the Pathfinder actual play podcast where enthusiasm is high, skill is... questionable, and chaos is pretty much guaranteed.
We’re a group of friends who came together to roll dice, tell stories, and make a mess of things in the best way possible. Our gameplay might not always be rules-perfect, but we’re here to have fun, create memorable moments, and fully embrace the barely competent spirit.
Expect epic quests, character shenanigans, critical fails, and the kind of camaraderie that only happens when you face a dragon with half a plan and no backup. Whether you’re deep into Pathfinder lore or just here for the laughs, we’ve got a seat at the table for you.
So grab your favorite beverage, lower your expectations, and come along for the adventure.
We may not always roll well, but we roll together.
Barely Competent Roll-Players – failing forward, one episode at a time.

Meet the Barely Competent Crew

Jake Harmon
Our fearless (and occasionally clueless) GM. Master of story twists, NPC voices, and throwing just enough chaos at the party to keep things interesting. He’s the glue holding this barely competent crew together.

Makenzie Harmon
Chaos incarnate. Whether she's casting spells or charming her way out of trouble, Makenzie brings big character energy and unpredictable choices that somehow mostly work out.

Braeden Butt
Tactical-ish and always ready for a good brawl (or snack break). Breaden keeps the party grounded... until he doesn’t. A wild card with a heart of gold and a talent for accidental brilliance.

Houston Hunt
The wildcard strategist. Houston brings clever plays, witty banter, and the occasional “wait, that worked?” moment. Equal parts brains, boldness, and bad ideas.
